When our last renters moved out we called to have service disconnected, we received a letter and email stating that the meter would be pulled in November of 2015. We had moved out of town so we just assumed they did what they said they did.
They never actually came and pulled the meter and called us 6 months later stating that we owed for 6 months of service and needed to pay immediately or the bill would be sent to collections. The very rude and arrogant customer service woman told us that they could not pull the meter because of a dog in the next yard, yet the water company, cable company and electric company was able to disconnect their services which are all located within 20 feet of the gas meter!
Total scam!!! Just another case of corporate companies being thugs!
